RESCU Academy students take part in many activities within the community. Some of the community activities and sites that students frequent for athletics are the YMCA, La Jolla Cove, Santee Lakes, West Hills Park, Mast Park, Mission Trails, and Grossmont Community College. Annual activities include: Rummage Sales, Movie Nights, Kids’ NewsDay, The Night of Excellence as well as others. Recent field trips include Medieval Times, Dead Sea Scrolls, The Bodies Exhibit, Muslim Mosque visit, Cowles Mountain, an " Inconvenient Truth" movie day, Padres baseball games, student sleepovers, Kid's NewsDay, and rummage sales.
