Middle School Students on Their Way to Yosemite
Friday, 15 January 2010 18:50
Middle school students and teachers will depart from San Diego to San Francisco for the Yosemite trip on June 5th.  Students and teachers will explore Yosemite National Park, touring the valley with stops to Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, El Capitan, and Bridalveil Falls.  After touring the valley, the tour will stop along the Merced River to have lunch and then to hike to Glacier Point. The following day, the tour will depart for Crane Flat & Tuolumne Grove of the Giant Sequoias, hiking through a grove of some of the tallest trees in the world. After lunch, they’ll enjoy an afternoon hike to Vernal and Nevada Falls via the Mist Trail. At the end of the tour, students depart to San Francisco and enjoy in the city, visiting the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Lombard Street, and China Town. Our middle school students are very excited about their five day trip to Yosemite and have already begun fundraising for the event.
