Daily Oral Language (DOL) is a course that all students are enrolled in to improve their syntax, spelling, vocabulary and English usage. The course is offered in the first fifteen to thirty minutes of each morning as a whole group instruction with participation by all students’ grades 6th through 12th. The writing process is an integral part of the RESCU Academy’s curriculum and is utilized in many other areas such as peer editing, individual reflections as well as their respective course material. Students also complete a midterm and final, as well as a culminating project with a peer to show improvement in the course.
